How to get Motivated
How to get Motivated. Spring has sprung. It’s a wonderful time for rebirth and renewal. Clearing away the cobwebs and making fresh starts. Don’t know where to start? Don’t feel like starting? Here are some handy tips on finding inspiration and motivation.
Imagine just one thing you’d like to achieve. Just one dream or goal. As the Stoics said , the only things we can control are How we think, how we act and how we react. What would you like to focus on now? Picture it vividly.
Let’s get motivated. Taking what you can control and can achieve into your own hands is a powerful thing to do!

How to get Motivated
How do you motivate yourself to continue working toward your goals? Some of these tips will appeal to you more than others but it’s good to experiment, you can take them as a starting point and add your own spin.

1- Break your goals into smaller steps. Smaller attainable steps towards your goal help you get there. After each step, celebrate and reward yourself because you deserve it and it will help keep you on track.
- 2- Know your limits. You know yourself best If you move too slowly, you’ll know deep down that you could be taking more action. But, when you try to do too much, you might burnout. You want to balance effort and ease, that way you’ll stay motivated to keep taking action.

3- Do a little – If you normally run 5 miles or workout for an hour and you just can’t face it. Say to yourself your going to run 2 miles / workout for 30 minutes. It will save you from getting stuck and once you get started you might feel like doing even more. Every step counts and some is always better than none.
4- Get rid of distractions. There are some things that might be more likely to distract you than others. Be strong enough to make healthy choices that help you get closer to your bigger goal.

5- Ask for help. Don’t be afraid to ask for help from others. There’s only so much you can do in a day. If there’s any way at all that someone else can help, consider that possibility and ask them. Be prepared to help when you have the time and energy.
6- Find an activity that energizes/ excites you. Chances are there’ll be times during the day when you hit a slump, find some activity to re-motivate and energize you. A good exercise routine /a good walk can refresh you and help you think more clearly.

6- Prioritise. Use James Conveys brilliant time management tool and breakdown everyday tasks and what you have to do to complete your goal into 4 categories. Urgent & Important, Urgent & Unimportant, Not Urgent & Important, Not Urgent & Unimportant. Simpler than it sounds.
7- Walk Away. Once you’ve built up clarity and momentum it will be much easier to tell when something is just not working/ a good fit/ not aligned with what you really do want. Sometimes it can be hard to leave something behind that we’ve put a lot of ground work into but starting afresh can give you a new lease of life.

8- Build on the Past. Think about what you’ve done to achieve success and motivate yourself in the past and how good it felt when you got there. Chances are you had a plan and stuck to it. It’s not always easy but when you remain motivated, you’ll reach your goals and you can use this as fuel to achieve more and more.
